Our Team
Dr. Jay Crews
In practice since 2003, Dr. Jay Crews is a board-certified pediatric dentist who specializes in providing comprehensive care for kids from infancy through their teen years, including special needs children.
After receiving his BS in biology—and three varsity letters—from Centre College in Danville, he attended the University of Louisville School of Dentistry and earned his DMD in 2001. He then went on to residency at the University of Kentucky, where he served as Chief Resident and received his pediatric dentistry certificate. Dr. Crews was board-certified by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) in 2007.
An active member of many professional organizations, including AAPD, the Kentucky Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and others, Dr. Crews also volunteers his professional services in the community.
Dr. Crews is married to Dr. Courtney Crews, a retired pediatrician. He has two sons, Parker and Cole. He enjoys traveling, snow skiing, fishing, hunting, and golf.
Dr. Patrick Gilbert
Dr. Patrick Gilbert has been a practicing dentist since 2013 and a practicing board certified pediatric dentist since 2018. Dr. Gilbert’s pathway to becoming a pediatric dentist was a fun adventure! Originally from the small town of Cadiz, Kentucky in the western part of the state near LBL (Land Between the Lakes), he went to Murray State University, and received a BS in Biology. While at Murray State—Dr. Gilbert was on the Murray State Bass Anglers fishing team! In 2009, Dr. Gilbert entered dental school at the University of Louisville and received his DMD in 2013.
From here Dr. Gilbert had to become a Hoosier (briefly)—he followed his wife to Indianapolis, IN where she was training to become a Dermatologist. In Indiana, Dr. Gilbert practiced as a general dentist in two community health clinics in the city of Indianapolis for a few years—it is here Dr. Gilbert discovered his passion for helping children! In 2017, he received his Masters in Oral Biology (MSD) from Indiana University and his certificate in pediatric dentistry from Riley Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Gilbert is a Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, a Member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Indiana Society of Pediatric Dentistry and Kentucky Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Gilbert is married to Juliana Gilbert, who is also a practicing dermatologist. They have three children; Henry, Dean, and Elyse. The animals just add to the circus- 2 dogs (Lulu and Coco), 1 cat (Violet), and 5 fish (Barren, Barkley, Kentucky, Cumberland, and Dale). In his free time, Dr. Gilbert is passionate about fishing, hiking, running, and spending time with his family outdoors.
Lacey
Office Manager
Lacey joined the team in September 2014 with three years of previous experience in the dental field. She graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Management. Her husband, Blake, is a farmer- so most of their spare time is spent outdoors. They have two boys, Reed and William. Together they enjoy spending time playing outside, checking cows in the Polaris, or by the pool with friends.
Hayley
Dental Hygienist
Hayley has been with Dr. Crews’ office since it opened in 2003. She graduated from Apollo High School and went on to graduate from Henderson Community College as a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2003.
Kelsey Y.
Dental Hygienist
Kelsey joined our team in 2020. She graduated from Henderson Community College in 2018 as a Registered Dental Hygienist. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband (Josh), her four crazy kids, and their dog. She loves spending time outdoors and going out with friends any time she can.
Kristi
Dental Hygienist
Kristi has been a dental hygienist for ten years, and loves working with kids. Kristi and her husband (Eric) have three sons that are involved in basketball, baseball, soccer, band, and academic team. They love spending their spare time on the boat and hiking to waterfalls across Kentucky!
Heather R.
Dental Hygienist
Heather is a RDH with 28 years of experience. She loves to spend time with friends and family. She enjoys camping, kayaking, reading, playing games, and cards.
Taylar
Scheduling Coordinator
Taylar joined the Pediatric Dentistry team in September of 2018. She enjoys spending time with family, doing arts and crafts with her daughter and cheering for the Kentucky Wildcats!
Katlyn
Scheduling Coordinator
Katlyn joined the team in February 2021. She graduated from Owensboro Catholic High School in 2013. Katlyn and her husband (Bobby) have a beautiful daughter, Abi. She spends most nights at the softball field. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Her favorite thing to do when not working, is taking vacations and going on cruises! #cruiselifeistheBESTlife!

Maddie joined Pediatric Dentistry of Owensboro in May of 2026. Maddie and her fiancé (Blake) love spending time at home with their dog (Scout). They also enjoy spending time with their friends and family swimming in their lake.
Jackie
Expanded Duty Dental Assistant
Jackie graduated from Dental Assisting school in 2016, and joined our team in October of 2019. One of her favorite things to do in her spare time is watching Disney movies with her four year old daughter, Briley. She also enjoys playing with her dog (Charlie) and kitty (Millie). Jackie loves any type of food, says she just can’t get enough!

Expanded Duty Dental Assistant
Kelsey has been with Pediatric Dentistry of Owensboro since 2021. She graduated from Owensboro Catholic in 2017, and went on to become an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant. Kelsey enjoys spending time with her baby (Kohen) and also spending time with her family.

Expanded Duty Dental Assistant
Lew joined Pediatric Dentistry of Owensboro in March of 2024. She graduated from Apollo in 2020 and went on to become an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant. Lew enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her boyfriend (Timothy). Lew and Timothy have two dogs (Leroy and Mack).
Tiffany
Expanded Duty Dental Assistant
Tiffany joined the team in March of 2024. She graduated from Henderson Community College in 2019 as an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant. She loves hanging out with her family. She has a daughter (Alex) and a boyfriend (Emu). Tiffany enjoys crocheting and watching Anime in her spare time with Alex and Emu. She also has a yorkie (Sally) and three cats (Little Bit, Spook, and Syaoran).

Dental Assistant
Lexi joined Pediatric Dentistry of Owensboro in March of 2026. She graduated from McLean County in 2025. She is currently pursuing an associates degree at Owensboro Community College while becoming a Dental Assistant. Lexi enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her fiancé (Maddox). During her free time she loves to travel, swim, and go riding on their side by side.
